Timothy Hutton

After winning an Academy AwardŽ, Golden GlobeŽ and Los Angeles Film Critics Award for his performance in Robert Redford's
Ordinary People, Timothy Hutton went on to star in numerous films, including
Taps, for which he received his second Golden GlobeŽ nomination;
Daniel;
Falcon & The Snowman;
Made in Heaven;
The General's Daughter;
French Kiss;
Beautiful Girls;
Sunshine State; and
Kinsey. His additional film credits include
Secret Window, based on the novella by Stephen King, directed by David Koepp and also starring Johnny Depp and John Turturro.
On television, Hutton produced and starred in
Mr. & Mrs. Loving, written and directed by OscarŽ-nominated Richard Friedenberg, and starred as the title character in the acclaimed Aldrich Ames:
Traitor Within, as well as the docudrama WWIII. After starring in the highly successful
Nero Wolfe: The Golden Spiders, Hutton executive-produced, directed and starred in several additional Nero Wolfe adaptations.
As a member of New York's Circle Repertory Company, Hutton originated the lead role in the Broadway Production of Craig Lucas'
Prelude to a Kiss and starred in
Babylon Gardens, with Mary Louise Parker. In addition, he appeared in the Los Angeles stage production of
The Oldest Living Graduate, opposite Henry Fonda.
Working behind the camera, Hutton has directed a number of music videos, including The Cars' "Drive" and Don Henley's "Not Enough Love"; the Neil Young concert film
Freedom; and an episode of Steven Spielberg's
Amazing Stories, entitled "Grandpa's Ghost," from a story he wrote. Hutton's feature film directorial debut,
Digging to China, starring Kevin Bacon, premiered at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival to standing ovations.
