Larry Spiegel
(Executive Producer)
A native of New York City, Larry Spiegel has been producing and writing for motion pictures and television for three decades. His earlier career included producing nationally broadcast television commercials for a number of New York's leading advertising agencies.
Spiegel's entry into motion pictures came as the story originator and screenwriter of Hail to the Chief, a highly regarded political satire for 20th Century Fox. Spiegel followed that film by writing the critically acclaimed adaptation of Book of Numbers. Additional film credits include Survival Run, which he also directed; Phobia; Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins; and Sunchaser.
Spiegel next turned his attention to children's television and animation by writing and producing various programs, including the pilot episode and additional episodes of the critically acclaimed series The ABC After School Specials, multiple episodes of The Return to the Planet of the Apes and the long-running animated Christmas special The Bear Who Slept Through Christmas.
Spiegel also co-wrote the screenplay adaptations of Cafe Berlin and Dove Against Death, which he will produce early next year together with his partner Judy Goldstein, as well as a film based on the life of R&B legend Jackie Wilson.
