Jonathan Levin
Jonathan Levin was made president of Spelling Television Inc. in September 1994. He is responsible for all areas of entertainment programming, business affairs and strategic planning. Among the series he has developed are 7th Heaven, Charmed, Any Day Now, Clubhouse, 10-8, Summerland, Titans, Pacific Palisades and Sunset Beach. He also served as a producer of Charmed, Any Day Now, 10-8, Sunset Beach, Rescue 77, Titans, All Souls and Summerland. Prior to joining Spelling, Levin was vice president in charge of drama series development for CBS Entertainment, where he developed a series of successful and critically acclaimed dramas, including Touched by an Angel, Picket Fences, Northern Exposure, Chicago Hope, Diagnosis Murder and Wiseguy. Levin began his entertainment career at CBS in 1983, as director of business affairs for television movies and miniseries. He was responsible for negotiating license fees, co-productions and talent deals. Prior to joining CBS, Levin served as campaign director and counsel to U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) in Washington, D.C. He was previously a litigator specializing in criminal law for the law firm of Dechert, Price & Rhodes in Philadelphia, Pa. In 1975-76, Levin served in the Mideast/Africa bureau for the Central Intelligence Agency. A native of Philadelphia, he is an honors graduate of Brown University and Columbia University Law School.
