Bob Newhart
("Judson")

Bob Newhart has enjoyed two successful television series, sold millions of comedy albums worldwide, appeared in more than 14 feature films and continues to perform for sell-out crowds in his live stand-up concerts. He began his career in entertainment following a brief stint as an accountant in Chicago. Through a friendship with Chicago disc jockey Dan Sorkin, Newhart met with the head of Warner Bros. Records, who, upon hearing his stand-up material, offered him a recording contract. Seven albums and three Grammys later, Newhart had made his mark in entertainment. He then went on to begin his television career with The Bob Newhart Variety Show, which earned him an Emmy and a Peabody Award. This was followed by tremendous success with The Bob Newhart Show, which aired for six years, and his series Newhart, which aired for eight years. Newhart also made guest appearances on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in, The Dean Martin Variety Show, Murphy Brown, The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. His recent performance on a three-episode stint on the critically acclaimed series ER earned him an Emmy Award nomination this year.

Newhart has also worked in film with some of the biggest names in Hollywood: Hell Is for Heroes, with Steve McQueen; On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, with Barbra Streisand; Catch 22, with Jon Voight; Little Miss Marker, with Walter Matthau; Hot Millions, with Peter Ustinov; Cold Turkey, with Dick Van Dyke; Thursday's Game, with Gene Wilder; and First Family, with Gilda Radner.
