A Conversation with Tom Skerritt
Q: Describe your character.
A: I play a CIA director who is very protective of his territory. In this story, there are different agencies sharing information, trying to bring down this terrorist threat. My character doesn't want to share anything and doesn't want his agents cooperating with this new unit of agents. He becomes more threatened when he sees the friendship between one of his agents, Piter's character, and Julianna's character. My character also has a bit of an ego problem.
Q: How was it working with the other actors and the director, Mikael Salomon?
A: Dylan is a wonderful guy and a terrific actor. I've seen Julianna's work and love it and have enjoyed working with Jemma and Piter. Mikael is a very dear friend, and he asked me to be involved with this project. I really responded to this character after reading the script. I have complete trust in him.
Q: What will attract audiences to THE GRID?
A: Terrorism is something that's holding everyone's attention. This limited series illustrates what's going on now and shows the political conflict that goes on in trying to deal with terrorism. This is an informative show, and I think audiences will be drawn to that.
