James Remar

James Remar most recently had a recurring role on the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning HBO series Sex and the City for three seasons as Samantha's love interest, Richard Wright. He recently appeared in the telefilms Meltdown and Ike: Countdown to D-Day and will next appear in the feature film Blade: Trinity. Remar's other feature film credits include The Girl Next Door, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Duplex, What Lies Beneath, Boys on the Side and Fear X. He appeared opposite Roma Downey in the telefilm The Survivors Club and is currently shooting the television series North Shore for Fox, in which he will be a series regular. He has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than two decades and more than 30 feature films. He broke onto the scene in Walter Hill's The Warriors and 48 Hours, opposite Eddie Murphy. Since then, Remar has worked steadily with some of the industry's most-celebrated filmmakers, including Gus Van Sant, Penny Marshall, Francis Ford Coppola and Michael Apted.
Remar began his career on the New York stage. He was part of the original cast of Bent, opposite Richard Gere, as well as numerous off and off-off Broadway plays.
