Dylan McDermott

Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Dylan McDermott is perhaps best known for his role as idealistic defense attorney Bobby Donnell on David E. Kelley's Emmy Award-winning series The Practice. He was recently in the feature films Wonderland, co-starring Val Kilmer and Josh Lucas, and Party Monster, opposite Macaulay Culkin and Seth Green. McDermott's extensive film work also includes Three to Tango, also starring Neve Campbell and Matthew Perry; Texas Rangers, opposite James Van Der Beek; Hamburger Hill; Steel Magnolias; and the Jodie Foster-directed Home for the Holidays, starring opposite Holly Hunter and Robert Downey, Jr. He also starred alongside renowned director Sir Richard Attenborough in the John Hughes 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street and received accolades for his role as Clint Eastwood's secret service partner in Wolfgang Petersen's In the Line of Fire. McDermott recently completed filming Edison, opposite Justin Timberlake, Kevin Spacey and LL Cool J.
Born in Connecticut and raised in New York City, he first developed an interest in acting in high school, due partly to the encouragement of playwright Eve Ensler. Earning his drama degree at Fordham University, McDermott graduated from the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, where he went on to Broadway in Neil Simon's production of Biloxi Blues. His other theater credits include Golden Boy, directed by Joanne Woodward, at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
