Academy Award®-winning director Peter Werner has garnered an impressive list of features, television movies and documentaries. He directed the features No Man's Land and Don't Cry, It's Only Thunder. Werner received an Oscar® for his short film In The Region of Ice, which he directed and wrote. He received Emmy nominations for the telefilms LBJ: The Early Years and Almost Golden: The Jessica Savitch Story, which also earned him a DGA nomination. His other television credits include the telefilms The '70s; The Image, for which he won a CableAce Award; The Substitute Wife; At the Edge of Innocence; Hiroshima: Out of the Ashes, for which he received a DGA nomination; Mama Flora's Family; Showtime's Ruby's Bucket of Blood, starring Angela Bassett; and After Amy, starring Bridget Fonda. He also directed episodes of several series, including Moonlighting, for which he received a DGA nomination; The Wonder Years; A Different World; Middle Ages; Winnetka Road; and various series pilots, including the one for Nash Bridges. Included in Werner's wide range of work are the documentaries Findhorn and Frances, Flaherty: Hidden & Seeking.
