Brian Stokes Mitchell most recently starred in August Wilson's Broadway production of King Hedley II, which earned him a Tony Award nomination. His film credits include the feature Ghost Dad, starring Bill Cosby, and the telefilm The Ernest Green Story. Mitchell has been the voice behind characters in animated features such as The Prince of Egypt; Hollyrock-a-Bye Baby and I Yabba-Dabba Do! (for television); and the series A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs. He also had a recurring role on the series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and appeared on the game show The Hollywood Squares. Mitchell's many theater credits include a Tony Award-winning performance for his leading role in the Broadway revival of Kiss Me Kate; the lead role in the Broadway production of Ragtime, for which he received a Tony Award nomination; Jelly's Last Jam; and Tony Award winner Kiss of the Spider Woman.
