Academy Award ® winner Whoopi Goldberg most recently starred in the feature films Rat Race and Kingdom Come. Goldberg currently executive-produces and appears in the center square on the television game show Hollywood Squares. She earned an Academy Award® nomination and a Golden Globe Award for her role in Steven Spielberg's feature The Color Purple. Her performance in Ghost earned her an Academy Award® and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her long list of film credits include Girl, Interrupted; How Stella Got Her Groove Back; Ghosts of Mississippi; The Associate; Eddie; Boys on the Side; Corrina, Corrina; The Lion King; Sister Act and Sister Act 2; Made in America; Soapdish; Sarafina!; and Jumpin' Jack Flash.

Goldberg's television credits include appearing for five seasons on the series Star Trek: The Next Generation, co-starring with Jean Stapleton on the series Bagdad Cafe and hosting her own late-night talk show, The Whoopi Goldberg Show. She also starred in the telefilms In the Gloaming, Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and A Knight in Camelot and appeared in the miniseries Alice in Wonderland and The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns. Goldberg executive-produced the Lifetime original movie What Makes a Family, as well as Showtime's upcoming telefilm Ruby's Bucket of Blood. She serves as executive producer for Lifetime's Strong Medicine, which is currently the number-one drama series on basic cable television. Her upcoming producing projects include the feature films The Piano Man's Daughter and The Mao Game, as well as the forthcoming Broadway musical Thoroughly Modern Millie.
