Jere Cunningham, originally a novelist, came to Hollywood after selling film rights to four books and has since penned more than two dozen feature film and television scripts. He wrote the feature screenplays for Universal's Judgment Night, starring Emilio Estevez, Denis Leary and Cuba Gooding Jr., produced by Larry Gordon, and for Orion's Last of the Finest, starring Brian Dennehy, Jeff Fahey, Joe Pantoliano, and Bill Paxton, produced by John Davis. Cunningham's feature projects also include Bobby O'Brien for Wildwood; Rockwood for Imagine; Isobar, Flamingo, and Mount Thunder for Larry Gordon and Joel Silver; The Manchurian Candidate and Broadway for Silver Pictures; Stoner for Sylvester Stallone at MGM; David and Bowie and Shiva for Disney/Interscope; The Fugitive for Warner Bros.; and Hard Candy for Spelling. His screenplay Builders was listed as one of the 10 best unproduced scripts in Hollywood.

For television, he wrote HBO's Jack Dempsey; A&E's The Big Heist, starring Donald Sutherland and John Heard; and TNT's Boss of Bosses, starring Chazz Palminteri and Angela Alavarado.
