Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Jon Voight has forged a successful career as one of the most versatile actors in film and television. Most recently, he received Academy Award® and Golden Globe nominations for his performance as Howard Cosell in Ali. He earned additional Academy Award® nominations for Midnight Cowboy, opposite Dustin Hoffman, and The Runaway Train, for which he also won a Golden Globe Award. Voight won the Oscar® and a Golden Globe Award for his performance as Luke Martin in Coming Home. His other film credits include Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, opposite his daughter Angelina Jolie; Pearl Harbor; Mission Impossible; Varsity Blues; Enemy of the State; Anaconda; The General; Deliverance; and The Odessa File, as well as The Rainmaker and The Champ, both of which garnered him Golden Globe nominations. On television, Voight recently co-starred in the telefilm ,Uprising, which earned him an Emmy® nomination, and the miniseries Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story. His other television credits include the telefilms Chernobyl: The Final Warning and The Last of His Tribe, a performance which earned him a CableAce Award, and the miniseries Return to Lonesome Dove. He made his directorial debut with Showtime's The Tin Soldier, which won several awards including Best Children's Film at the Berlin Film Festival.

Voight made his Broadway debut in The Sound of Music. He starred opposite Robert Duvall in the acclaimed revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge and starred in A Streetcar Named Desire at the Los Angeles Ahmanson Theatre. He is a humanitarian who has been an advocate for American Indian rights and has worked on behalf of Vietnam veterans. He is currently active in a continuing effort to airlift children from the contaminated areas of Chernobyl.
