Kathy Baker

SAG, Golden Globe, Emmy and Obie Award-winning actress Kathy Baker will next be seen in the feature films Assassination Tango, opposite Robert Duvall, and in the independent A Little Inside, as well as the telefilm Ten Tiny Love Stories. Her many film credits include The Glass House; Academy Award® winner The Cider House Rules, which earned her and the cast a SAG Award; To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday; Inventing the Abbotts; Mad Dog and Glory; Jennifer Eight, Article 99; Edward Scissorhands; Street Smart, for which she received the Best Supporting Actress Award from the National Society of Film Critics; Clean and Sober; Jackknife; Dad; The Image; Mr. Frost; and her film debut, The Right Stuff. Baker is currently a series regular on Boston Public and has earned an Emmy Award nomination for her role as well as an Emmy nomination for her guest appearance on Touched by an Angel. She also won three Emmy Awards for her role in the series Picket Fences. Her other television credits include the telefilms Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her, Ratz, Lush Life, Not in This Town, Shake, Rattle and Roll and A Season for Miracles. She also made a guest appearance on the TNT series Bull.

A veteran of the stage, Baker originated the role of May in Sam Shepard's Fool for Love, for which she received an Obie Award. She also appeared in the stage productions Desire Under the Elms and Aunt Dan and Lemon.
