As the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon's music seems to be the
incarnation of his parents musical leanings -- part pop, part experimental.
Like his parents, Lennon has been an activist for peace and in 1991 he
organized -- with Ono and Lenny Kravitz -- a star-studded rerecording of
his father's "Give Peace a Chance" to protest the Gulf War. During the
'90s he toured with Ono's band IMA as well as with the group Cibo Matto.
His debut album, Into the Sun was released in 1998 under the Beastie
Boys' label Grand Royal, further demonstrating Lennon's truly universal
embrace of the music world.
