A child prodigy on organ and piano, at the age of 10 Billy Preston was
playing keyboards for the legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson. As a
session musician, Preston backed The Beatles on their album Let It Be. He
later hit the charts with solo hits such as "Will It Go Round in Circles"
and "Nothing From Nothing" in the 1970s. Preston performed with Ringo
Starr in the former-Beatle's All-Starr band and most recently hit the road
touring with Eric Clapton.
