Nelly Furtado

A Canadian-born singer/songwriter of Portuguese descent, Furtado began composing at age 13. A truly eclectic talent who plays guitar, ukulele, trombone and sings in English, Portuguese and Hindi, Furtado first came on the scene when she performed in the Lilith Fair Tour in 1998. Her debut album, Whoa Nelly!, captures her collective sound which reflects influences in hip-hop, rock and roll, Brazilian and Portuguese music.
