Danielle Nicolet
(Nurse Mary Singletary)
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, and relocating to California as a teenager, Danielle Nicolet emerged on TV on the hit ABC series
Family Matters in the mid-1990s. At that time she appeared in several films, including
National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon and the unforgettable TV movie,
The Jacksons: An American Dream.
As her career progressed, so did the status of Nicolet’s work. She co-starred as Caryn on the Emmy® winning NBC favorite
3rd Rock from the Sun and has guest-starred on more than 20 different television shows, most notably her award-winning run as Reese, the woman-child and humanity’s foe, on
Stargate SG-1.
Nicolet’s film projects include a heartbreaking performance as a woman dealing with the tragic death of both parents in the film
A Light in the Forest and a turn as a female jockey in the male-dominated world of horse racing in
For the People.
In 2005, Nicolet accepted a starring role in the UPN sitcom
Second Time Around as the hilariously hard-to-love Paula, prompting
Entertainment Weekly to name her “breakout star” of the network.
Nicolet has just completed shooting the feature film
The Bliss, in which she stars as the hapless manager of an aspiring rock star. The movie is slated for release July 2007. Also scheduled to release this year is
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, starring Tony Todd in a modern-day remake of the classic.
