David Hunt

David Hunt's professional career includes extensive work in film, television and on the stage. He has played a variety of roles in such films as The Dead Pool, Eyes WideShut, Jade, Trip to Tunis, Bobby Jones: Smoke of Genius and the Emmy ® -winning film The Black Velvet Gown. Hunt launched his television career in a starring role on the Channel 4 film Closing Ranks and has made numerous subsequent appearances in TV films, which include Murder on the Orient Express, Anna Lee, The Bombmaker, Miracle in the Woods, The Dancer's Touch and TNT's The Grid. He has been a series regular on several shows, including, The Chief ITV, Beck BBC, The Dream Team and Falcon Crest, and has appeared in the TV series Monk, Numbers, The Client, Nasty Boys, and Everybody Loves Raymond, amongst others.

Stage work after graduation from The Juilliard School includes Progress, The Memory of Water,Therese Raquin, Hamlet and Triumph of Love.

Founded in 2001, Four Boys Films is headed by Hunt and his wife, actress Patricia Heaton. They recently completed production on the documentary feature film The Bituminous Coal Queens of Pennsylvania, which served as Hunt's directing debut. Four Boys is also currently developing Amazing Grace, with Phillip Anschutz's Walden Media. The film, to be directed by Michael Apted, will begin production this November in the United Kingdom. The drama is the true story of William Wilberforce, who advocated for the freedom of slaves in 18th century England. Hunt lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their four sons.
