Q: What was your first reaction when you were approached about this role?
A: I'm usually leery about these things. Either I get offered a part that is right-on-the-nose Don Rickles or some guy that is the exact opposite and dies in the first 20 minutes. But when I read this script, I knew the part was well-suited for me. I was also encouraged that David, Steve and Bill wanted me to be a part of this. I was delighted.

Q: What was it like working with an actor who didn't talk back to you?
A: It's great. Well, it's my personality. It was actually unusual for me because it's like me doing the Gettysburg Address by myself. But it's written so that it shows what I have to offer. Even though Macy's character can't speak, his looks tell the whole story. The combination of the script and working with Macy has been just a great feeling.

Q: Where does the drama come from in THE WOOL CAP? A: The drama comes from the actors. Macy is so outstanding in this and the little girl is wonderful. And who am I kidding? I'll just keep bowing. Really, the film has a family theme and all of the characters are just so warm. I hope it will be a big winner.
