A bright and promising third-year resident, Knight is put through her paces by her resident advisor, Dr. John Carter. The tension mounts between them as the line between their professional and personal relationships begins to blur. Passionate and often stubborn, Knight will go to any lengths to help her patients -- even though her methods are sometimes a bit unconventional.

Kellie Martin (Lucy Knight 1998-2000) has spent most of her career to date working in television, beginning in the late '80s with appearances in Highway to Heaven, My Two Dads, Thirtysomething and The Tracy Ullman Show. Other significant TV roles include the series Life Goes On and voice roles in various animated series like Aladdin and Taz-Mania. Although her theatrical film career is less extensive, she can be seen in Body Slam, Troop Beverly Hills, Matinee and, most recently, All You Need.
