Jill Hennessy

Kincaid worked her way up quickly in the DA's office. A staunch feminist with a penchant for Chinese food, Kincaid decided to become a lawyer in high school. She opposes the death penalty and her stepfather is a law professor.

Twin sister of Jaqueline Hennessy, the two played twins in Dead Ringers, Jill's film debut. Hennessy joins the cast of Law & Order as Assistant DA Claire Kincaid in the series' fourth season. She was born in Alberta, Canada, speaks several languages and studied improvisational comedy with the famed Second City comedy theater before making her way to the stage in The Buddy Holly Story. Hennessy's film credits include Robo Cop 3, I Shot Andy Warhol, A Smile Like Yours, Row Your Boat, Chutney Popcorn, Exit Wounds, Autumn in New York, Love in the Time of Money and Pipe Dreams. She also appeared in the TNT Original miniseries Nuremberg, for which she received a Golden Satellite Award from the International Press Academy. Hennessy went on from Law & Order to lead the series Crossing Jordan.
