Cole is a man of many faces. He is a good-natured lawyer who thrives on serving justice. He is also a pleasant, well-mannered gentleman, especially with the love of his life, Phoebe.

But Cole is not without a much darker side. He is a half-human, half-demon. His demon half is the sinister Belthazor, a part of him that the human half of Cole finds it difficult to suppress. After an intense struggle, he finds the strength to quell the demon within to be with Phoebe.

Phoebe is deeply in love with Cole, but her sisters aren't so quick to trust a man with such evil potential. Will Cole succumb to the dark power within, or will love conquer the darkness once and for all?
