Leo is a Whitelighter, a guardian angel for witches of pure heart. He instantly comes to the protection of the Charmed Ones in the face of danger. Always warm and friendly, he quickly grows a bond with the three sisters, especially with Piper. While it is normally forbidden for a mortal and a Whitelighter to be wed, they cross that boundary and become a happily married witch/Whitelighter couple.

Not even wedlock to an angel is perfect. Leo and Piper go through the same growing pains of marriage like every ordinary marriage. However, through their love, devotion and a little divine help, they gave birth to a son named Wyatt.
