In 1999, LaVoi created the costume world of the Shephard Robin series "Brutally Normal" and has worked with that producing team ever since. Prior to "The Closer", he costumed Steven Weber in "The D.A." for ABC.
When LaVoi isn’t on set, in a department store, swatching fabrics or at his design table; he is photographing Barbie for his next book "Barbie Loves Rt. 66" - due to be published in 2008.
