The best part of this episode for me, was that during the shooting, I had a birthday! I must admit, it is my favorite day of the year. Especially with this generous group of people I work with. I had so many presents on my hair styling station, I barely had room for any work tools. Oh, and Emilio brought me red velvet cupcakes... It was a GOOD day!

This episode is all about mistakes. Simple mistakes, tragic mistakes, and redemption. And even Chief Brenda learns a thing or two, which is always good. In one particular scene, Brenda and Detective Sanchez run up into a church steeple to catch a bird's-eye view of the surrounding neighborhood. In order to shoot this efficiently, Michael Clausen, our Production Designer, actually built the steeple on the roof of the Raleigh Studios parking garage. This was no mistake. Very close to our home base, right across the street from our sound stages, and it looked amazing.

Plus, on a clear day, you can see the Hollywood sign from that roof, and although I have lived here since 1996, I still don't take that sign for granted. It was the siren that called to me back home in Michigan as a child, and I still get a little thrill every time I see it.

There's no mistaking why I park on the roof.

Stacey has been burnin' hair on Hollywood TV and Film sets since 1996. Her credits include "The Stepfather," "Nip/Tuck," "EZ Streets," "Running With Scissors," "Providence," and of course, TNT's "The Closer," where she is enjoying Season 5 as the Department Head Hair Stylist. She also enjoys making music and movies. And pizza.
