I want to make my last two On Set Blogs for "The Closer" extra special. So, I just took a little time to go through and re-read all of my blogs for the past three years.
It is truly mind-boggling.
From one of my first blogs about Miss Kitty, through Brenda and Fritz's ups and downs, through countless murders and Phillip Stroh, through Flynn, Provenza, and the Secret Society of Post Production, Craft Service, Prop Tarts and the Fashion King himself, Sir Greg of La Voi, my directorial debut, Daddy Say Yes, and annual Pirate Parties, through fundraisers for The Sunshine Kids and G.W. Bailey's Girl's Days out, Clay and Willie Ray, and through many confessions, and my own contemplations of gratitude, this show has been one hell of a ride, to say the very least.
I also took some time to go through the thousands of photos on my laptop, and I came across some photos from our Zombie Party last year. I am shocked that I didn't blog about that party! Well, it's never too late to reminisce a little.
Michele Tyminski, the head of our makeup department, hosted our first annual Zombie Party. The hair and makeup departments gathered products, supplies and other crazy objects and created a "zombie making station" on the stage, where people could make themselves into their evil zombie twins. It was awesome!
And because it has become tradition, our Chief Lighting Technician Scott Young, and his troupe of Electricians, hosted another Pirate Day during this episode. Everyone got in on the parrrrrrrty atmosphere. Even Greg "The Godfathaarrrrrr" LaVoi, and Kristina Vogel.
But, this episode was less than festive for one member of Brenda's squad. The elusive leak was finally revealed, and I'm not going to name that leak here in my blog, just in case you haven't watched the episode yet.
Let's just say, the rest of the squad almost made him walk the plank.
Stacey has been burnin' hair on Hollywood TV and Film sets since 1996. She is a two-time Emmy nominee for her Hair Styling prowess on "GLEE." Her other credits include the feature films "THE STEPFATHER," "RUNNING WITH SCISSORS," "THE MINUS MAN," and TV Series "NIP/TUCK," "JAKE IN PROGRESS," "THE D.A.," "EZ STREETS," "PROVIDENCE," "CSI:NY," "TOTAL SECURITY," TNT's "THE CLOSER," and the new "MAJOR CRIMES," where she is enjoying season 1 as Department Head Hairstylist. Stacey also made the jump to Director during season 6 of The Closer, on the episode "Last Woman Standing," and since the episode didn't suck, she was handed the reigns once again for her second episode,"Star Turn," during season 7. She somehow snowed the powers-that-be into letting her direct an episode of "Major Crimes" during season 1. Her methods of persuasion remain a mystery. She also enjoys making music and movies. And hobo salmon.
