Ryan Mason's good looks might make people wonder if he's a movie star playing a cop. But he is absolutely the real thing. Known as "Captain No-Fun" for his straight-laced personality, devotion to physical fitness and insistence on always playing by the rules, Ryan has a master's in criminal justice and a law degree. He is also is passionately devoted to several charities, including one which runs events for underprivileged Boston kids and contributes to scholarships for them. Ryan grew up playing with crashed cruisers that his father worked on for the police department. The sense now is that someday, Mason will be one of the leaders of the BPD. The married father of 2-year-old twins – with another child on the way – is by consensus one of the best cops in the Fugitive Unit.
