"D" Araujo grew up in Roxbury with his best friend and partner, Manny Canuto. They ended up both going to the academy. Now, they work to protect their old neighborhood from gang violence. A little less than a year ago, "D" was involved in a shooting on the job that left him unharmed but shaken. Months later, every day continues to be part of his mental and emotional recovery.
