A poised, graceful and disciplined artist, Tamara Taylor continues to break through to new levels in her career,
which began with quick success in nationally televised commercials. A native of Toronto, Taylor began booking
parts in television and film projects just a few months after moving to Los Angeles.
Taylor's first big break came when she landed a series regular role "Party of Five," playing Matthew Fox's love
interest, "Grace." Later, she was cast as "Dr. Ana Syphax" in Steven Bochco's drama "City of Angels" with Blair
Underwood, as "Sarah" opposite Paula Marshall on "Hidden Hills" and as "Nina" in "Sex, Love & Secrets," opposite
Denise Richards and Eric Balfour. Among dozens of memorable guest appearances, Taylor most recent appearances
were on the series "Lost," "Numb3rs," "CSI: Miami" and "Navy NCIS."
Taylor made her feature film debut as Marlon Wayans' love interest in the romantic comedy "Senseless," with David
Spade and Rip Torn. Within a year she played Halle Berry's best friend in the critically acclaimed biopic
"Introducing Dorothy Dandridge." Taylor also starred in Tyler Perry's box office hit "Diary of a Mad Black Woman"
and appeared in the sci-fi adventure "Serenity."
Taylor enjoys the beach, hiking, movies and books and shares her Los Angeles home with two chihuahuas, Bruno and
Miss Pixie.
