David Martindale grew up in a Southeast Texas map dot of a town that had one Dairy Queen and 16 churches. There wasn't much to do for fun there, except watch TV. And Martindale, no relation to Wink, watched a lot. "I had a little black-and-white TV in my bedroom. It was always on. It was like wallpaper." Little did he know then that he was training to be a TV columnist. Martindale's syndicated newspaper column, "Reruns," about what's "old" on TV, launched in 1992. In 1998, he wrote Pufnstuf & Other Stuff, the official book about the lives and careers of Sid & Marty Krofft. His "Where Are They Now?" column debuted in Biography magazine's first issue (January '97) and it's still one of that publication's most popular features. David is the Drama Lounge's premiere source for celebrity profiles and television trends. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with Celeste, his girlfriend of more than 20 years, and their dogs Shanney and Crash.
